Ishwar Ashram Trust opens a new centre at Kharghar, Navi Mumbai
Ishwar Ashram Trust inaugurated a new Kendra in the premises of Sharda Sadan, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai on Sunday, 17th January 2016. This centre is located on 3nd floor at Sharda Sadan, (Plot 11, Sector 8, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai). The inauguration and establishment of this centre is an important step in propagating Swami Lakshmanjoo Maharaj’s revelations on the unique philosophy of Kashmir Shaivism. The fact that this event took place during the 1000 year worldwide celebrations of another great saint and Kashmir Shaivism scholar, Acharya Abhinavagupta, added even more sanctity to the occasion.
Devotees from Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, Pune, New Delhi and other parts of India came over to attend this inaugural function.
The programme began with a Hawan (Home) starting early morning at 6.30 AM. This was followed by inauguration event of the programme. In the welcome address, Dr Anusheel Munshi, Trustee, Ishwar Ashram Trust lauded the efforts of Ishwar Ashram Trust and Kashmiri Pandit Association in coming together and setting up a centre of Shaivacharya Swami Lakshmanjoo’s teachings in the Kashmiri Pandit Association complex itself. This centre was the result of the efforts started jointly by both organizations in 2005. He also stated that this Kendra would be especially benefit devotees of all over Maharashtra and surrounding regions. The hall would have all facilites including AV presentation capability and soon a library on Kashmir Shaivism would be set up at the centre as well. With the inauguration of the centre, regular Sunday Pooja would be conducted from now onwards at the centre. In addition, devotees would be welcome to come during weekdays and do meditation in the hall. Swamiji’s teachings in the form of books and CD’s would be available for sale in the centre for interested devotees.
This was followed by Lamp Lighting and inauguration of the event. The lamp lighting was done jointly by Sh I K Raina (Chief Trustee of Ishwar Ashram Trust) and Sh S P Kachroo (President KPA, Mumbai). After this, shawls were placed on the photographs of Shaivacharya Swami Lakshmanjoo Maharaj, Swami Mahtab kak ji and Swami Ram ji.
Gurustuti chantings filled the entire complex with divine vibrations from 10.30 AM onwards. The recitation was led by Prof M L Kukiloo, a senior devotee of Swami Lakshmanjoo Maharaj. He also explained the meaning of a few verses for the benefit of devotees. The concluding arti was conducted at 12.30 PM. After this, all the present devotees came to the ground floor. Holding a colored balloon in hand, all present devotees released the same with the divine chant of “Jai Gurudev!”
The day concluded with Lunch Prashad being served to nearly 200 devotees who had come to attend this function.
