On the holy occasion of the Varsh celebration of our dear master, Shaivacharya Swami Lakshmanjoo Maharaj, Kashmir Shaiva Institute , Ishwar Ashram Trust, Delhi Kendra, is organizing a short afternoon symposium on Bodhapanchadashika of Abhinavagupta. The symposium would have talks by eminent scholars of Kashmir Shaivism


On the holy occasion of the Varsh / Birthday celebrations of our dear Master, Shaivacharya Swami Lakshmanjoo Maharaj, Kashmir Shaiva Institute, (Ishwar Ashram Trust), Delhi Kendra of the Trust organized a short afternoon symposium on Bodhapanchadashika ( 15 verses on Wisdom) of Abhinavagupta. The text summarizes the essence of Kashmir Shaivism. The symposium had talks by eminent scholars of Kashmir Shaivism.

The day started with Pooja of Varsh of Gurudev followed by lunch Prasad. Nearly 150 devotees from the entire NCR region and beyond had come to attend the function and take blessings of Swamiji on the very holy event.

The symposium was held after afternoon lunch Prasad. It started with Lamp lighting by eminent scholars and devotees of Swamiji including Sh S P Dhar. Mrs. Anjana Dhar gave the welcome address on behalf of Ishwar Ashram Trust. She informed the devotees about upcoming workshop on Shiv Sutras to be held in New Delhi Kendra from 29th Nov to 5th December 2015. (details at www.ishwarashramtrust.com). Dr. (Mrs.) Beena Agarwal Professor, Department of Sanskrit University of Rajasthan, Jaipur had been invited to speak as faculty for the event. The sessions were chaired by eminent scholar, Sh S S Toshkhani. Each speaker was given 5 shlokas for explanation and Swamiji’s audio revelation was played before each speaker lecture. Prof M L Kukiloo from Ishwar Ashram Trust and Dr Rajneesh Mishra (Associate Prof. JNU) also spoke on the occasion. After lectures by faculty, a 10 minute video showing the excerpts from the recent Webinar held by USF was played. The event concluded with valedictory address by Sh Vijay Bakshi, General Secretary of Delhi Kendra of Ishwar Ashram Trust.
